Privacy Policy for Localito Buddy

M-Design (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides Localito Buddy, an AI chat client for LM Studio (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains what data the App stores, how it is used, and what choices users have.

1, Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Localito Buddy for macOS and Windows, and to the official website or support pages directly associated with the App.

2. Local-first design
Localito Buddy is designed for a local-first workflow.
Chat history, app settings, and locally processed RAG-related data are stored on the user’s device. The App is intended to work with a user-managed LM Studio environment and a local network configuration chosen by the user.

3, Information processed by the App
Depending on how the App is used, Localito Buddy may process the following information:
　a. App settings
　The App stores configuration data such as:
　・other user preferences
　・server URL and port for LM Studio
　・selected model and related app settings
　・language and voice input settings
　・MCP-related configuration

　These settings are stored locally on the user’s device.

　b. Chat history
　The App stores chat history locally on the user’s device so that users can review past conversations.

　c. User-selected files
　If a user attaches files for RAG or document processing, the App processes those files locally and may store locally generated indexes, extracted text, or related working data on the user’s device.

　d. API keys and credentials
　If the user chooses to save credentials such as API keys, the App stores them using operating system facilities where available, such as the system keychain.

　e. Voice input
　On macOS, the App may use Apple’s Speech framework for voice input.
The App requests Microphone and Speech Recognition permission only when voice input is used.

　Voice input on macOS is enabled only when on-device speech recognition is available. When available, the App is configured to require on-device recognition for speech input.

　4, Network communication
　The App may communicate with:
　- a user-specified LM Studio server
　- a user-configured MCP server or related local service
　- other destinations explicitly configured or initiated by the user

　These connections are made in order to provide the App’s features requested by the user.

　5, Data sharing
　We do not sell personal data.
　Except where necessary to provide user-requested functionality, Localito Buddy is not designed to upload chat history, attached documents, or locally stored RAG data to our own servers.
　If the user connects the App to third-party or self-hosted services, data may be transmitted to those services as directed by the user. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies and practices.

　6, Analytics and advertising
　We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
　We do not use third-party analytics services in the App.

　7, Data retention
　Because Localito Buddy stores key data locally, retention is generally controlled by the user.
　Data remains on the device until the user deletes it, uninstalls the App, or removes related files.

　8, User choices and controls
　Users can:
　- edit or delete chat history stored in the App
　- change or remove app settings
　- revoke permissions such as Microphone or Speech Recognition in operating system settings
　- stop using the App at any time

　9, Security
　We take reasonable steps in the App’s design to reduce unnecessary data transmission and to support local storage of user data.
However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

　10, Children’s privacy
　Localito Buddy is not directed to children under the age defined by applicable law in the user’s jurisdiction.

　11, International use
　If users choose to connect the App to services on their own local network or to other endpoints they control, data may be processed in the jurisdictions associated with those services.

　12, Changes to this Privacy Policy
　We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above.

M-Design（以下「当社」）は、LM Studio 向け AI チャットクライアント「Localito Buddy」（以下「本アプリ」）を提供します。本ポリシーは、本アプリで取り扱う情報、その利用目的、およびユーザーが利用できる選択肢について説明するものです。

1, 適用範囲
本ポリシーは、macOS 版および Windows 版の Localito Buddy、ならびに本アプリに直接関連する公式サイトおよびサポートページに適用されます。

2. ローカルファースト設計について
Localito Buddy は、ローカルファーストの利用を前提として設計されています。

チャット履歴、アプリ設定、RAG 関連のローカル処理データは、ユーザーの端末上に保存されます。本アプリは、ユーザー自身が管理する LM Studio 環境およびユーザーが選択したローカルネットワーク構成で利用されることを前提としています。

3, 本アプリが処理する情報
利用方法に応じて、本アプリは以下の情報を処理することがあります。
　a. アプリ設定
　以下のような設定情報を保存します。
　・LM Studio のサーバーURLおよびポート
　・選択中のモデルおよび関連設定
　・言語設定および音声入力設定
　・MCP 関連設定
　・その他のユーザー設定

　これらの設定は、ユーザーの端末内に保存されます。

　b. チャット履歴
　本アプリは、過去の会話を参照できるよう、チャット履歴をユーザーの端末内に保存します。

　c. ユーザーが選択したファイル
　ユーザーが RAG や文書処理のためにファイルを添付した場合、本アプリはそれらのファイルをローカルで処理し、必要に応じて生成したインデックス、抽出テキスト、その他の作業用データをユーザー端末内に保存することがあります。

　d. APIキーおよび認証情報
　ユーザーが API キー等の認証情報の保存を選択した場合、本アプリは利用可能な範囲で OS の仕組み（例: システムキーチェーン）を用いて保存します。

　e. 音声入力
　macOS 版では、本アプリは音声入力のために Apple Speech framework を使用することがあります。
本アプリは、音声入力機能を使用する場合に限り、Microphone および Speech Recognition の許可を要求します。

　macOS における音声入力は、オンデバイス音声認識が利用可能な場合にのみ有効になります。利用可能な場合、本アプリはオンデバイス認識を必須に設定して動作します。

　4, ネットワーク通信
　本アプリは、以下の相手先と通信することがあります。
　- ユーザーが指定した LM Studio サーバー
　- ユーザーが設定した MCP サーバーまたは関連ローカルサービス
　- その他、ユーザーが明示的に設定または開始した通信先

　これらの通信は、ユーザーが要求した機能を提供するために行われます。

　5, データ共有
　当社は、個人データを販売しません。
　ユーザーが要求した機能の提供に必要な場合を除き、Localito Buddy は、チャット履歴、添付文書、またはローカル保存された RAG データを当社のサーバーへアップロードすることを前提としていません。
　ユーザーが本アプリを第三者サービスまたは自主管理サービスに接続した場合、データはユーザーの指示に従って当該サービスへ送信されることがあります。これらのサービスには、それぞれ独自のプライバシーポリシーおよび運用方針が適用されます。

　6, 解析および広告
　本アプリは、第三者広告 SDK を使用していません。
　また、本アプリは第三者解析サービスを使用していません。

　7, データ保持
　Localito Buddy は主要なデータをローカル保存するため、保持期間は基本的にユーザーが管理します。
データは、ユーザーが削除するか、本アプリをアンインストールするか、関連ファイルを削除するまで、端末上に保持される場合があります。

　8, ユーザーによる選択と制御
　ユーザーは、以下を行うことができます。
　- アプリ内に保存されたチャット履歴の編集または削除
　- アプリ設定の変更または削除
　- 添付またはインデックス化したファイルの削除
　- Microphone や Speech Recognition などの許可を OS 設定で変更または取り消し
　- いつでも本アプリの使用を中止

　9, セキュリティ
　当社は、本アプリの設計において、不必要なデータ送信を減らし、ユーザーデータのローカル保存を支援するよう努めています。
ただし、保存または通信の方法について、完全な安全性を保証することはできません。

　10, 子どものプライバシー
　本アプリは、ユーザーの居住地域で適用される法令に基づく子どもを主な対象としていません。

　11, 国際的な利用
　ユーザーが自身のローカルネットワーク上のサービスや、自ら管理する通信先へ接続する場合、データはそれらのサービスが所在する法域で処理されることがあります。

　12, 本ポリシーの変更
　当社は、本ポリシーを随時更新することがあります。
重要な変更を行った場合は、本ページ上部の「最終更新日」を更新します。
